OUR HISTORY
After over 40 years owning and leading one of the world’s leading independent cement, shipping, and port services groups, our founding shareholders established AGREMIN to best serve the fast-growing Eastern European market.
Our company has had a 15+ year experience in providing Romania with building materials and cement and is now focused on supplying all aggregates for the region’s infrastructure projects.
AGREMIN opens TOPLET quarry in Orsova, Severin. The quarry is idealy located near the Danube river and is able to Supply the SW of Romania, Hungary and Serbia
The group obtaines VARFURILE quarry in 2012.
A green field project in Moroieni, AGREMIN, opens the Glod quarry.
In 2006, part of our activities were joined to Tarmac (a member of Anglo-American), while AGREMIN continued to invest in the aggregates industry, securing various key quarries and ballast pits.
The group obtaines SITORMAN quarry in 1999, but it has been open since the 1970’s with the purpose to build the harbor in Constanta and Agigea, as well as the banks of the black sea.
In 1995, the group was invited to privatize various companies in Romania including S.C.H, AGREMIN, SOMIC and SOMECS, and played a leading role in the concrete and aggregates industry in Romania.
